i just picked up a set of shimano a530's for my commuter. i've only had them
for a week and haven't run them clipped in yet. i foresee a potential issue in
that the cleat is actually slightly raised, so i may end up with a bit more
bend in the ol' knee when clipped in unless i remember to adjust the seat post
height. but it seems the only/best option for a pedal you can run both ways
