Nice review - I just moved back to the North Shore, and have a Med 2011 SJ FSR
29, which I have used and have loved in mostly XC trails of the Yukon, and
lots of fast rocky trails in Colorado. There's something about SJ that I just
feel confident on. At 6.1″ and 32″ inseam, the Medium now feels small on the
shore, as I compensate with a longer stem, which is scary on DH. So, I am
debating a Large 2014 FSR EVO 29, for the reasons outlined in the review, but
was then surprised to hear the EVO won't be good in the North Shore's slow
tricky trails!? I am much more XC then DH, I just happen to live near Mt
Seymore, and ride trails like Bridal Path & Old Buck, while I also enjoy
Victotia's Hartland, so I'm rethinking the EVO SFR. The Enduro 29 I would not
have considered, until reading this & the comments, about shorter chain
stays, but I wonder if I should be re-considering the Devinci Troy XP 650b?
Its components like wheels / drive train are less then ideal (other then the
Pike!) but I can't make the $1000 jump to the next Troy model… thoughts…?
