Recently switched back to clipped in for dh riding. Currently riding the 5.10
Hellcats (I think that's the model name). Like the review states, running the
clips in the back of the channel is more reminisicent of my flats and less
ankle stress. With the Hellcats, if the cleats are all the way in the back to
the channel, I cannot clip out if the toe of my shoe aligns with the crank arm
which can lead to scary situations. Does the longer, wider channel in these
Impacts allow for cleat position that will let you unclip in all positions if
the cleat is all the way back? FYI, this happens with both my XT Trail and DX
Shimano pedals.
