Great review! I recently got the chance to ride the new Nomad and Bronson back
to back. I wanted to love the Nomad, as its so Enduro, but I struggled to feel
comfortable and felt like I had to ride way over the front of the bike to
manage the super slack front. Don't get me wrong, when things got steep and
fast, the Nomad kicked ass, but was a bit of a boat on the rest of the trail.
Then I hopped on the Bronson, immediately I noticed two things: 1. Dang this
stem looks long (70mm), and 2. Wow there are a lot of cables here (2×10). But
once on the trail I never thought either of those things again. The bike just
flew down the trail, I felt super connected, and the bike just responded
popping off lips and railed corners. I felt at home, which in honesty was a
bit of a disappointment because I wanted to love the Nomad more than the
Bronson.
I'm curious about two things though, how would running a 160mm Pike affect the
handling (or possibly running it at 150mm with an angle set to slacken it just
a tad), and what would it be like with a DBair on the back?
