Mmm, not really. Yeti has made aluminum versions of their bikes that were VERY
competitive with the bigger brands; I own one, and that's why I bought it. In
fact, I noticed that their frames were on the middle-lower end of the price
spectrum (just about every brand's aluminum frame is in the $2000 price
range). Their complete aluminum bikes are also historically a very good value.
