re. forks, specialized has a long history of customizing or developing custom
forks to suit specific bikes. i've not heard of it done, but they could have
spec'd a lowered 34 on the xl camber, for example
longer seatposts on larger models isn't uncommon. even if its not necessary,
the longer seat tube on a bigger frame makes it possible, so why not
interesting fact re. cranks pete, i've never noticed that!
