Good advice for everyone else, but what kind of bike should I buy?
"Don't sweat the bullshit"… except it's pretty much all marketing bullshit,
isn't it? Multi-link suspension really much better than a single pivot?
Anything besides a couple tenths of a gram separating drivetrain groupsets?
Amazing to me that bikes go for more or less double what comparable bikes
would have sold for a half-decade ago, despite most manufacturers moving
production to the second-cheapest place on earth. It's as though they caught
on to the fact that their customer base is no longer the teenage knuckle-
dragger begging his parents for the next best thing, but middle-aged men with
disposable income willing to spend whatever it takes to hold on to what's left
of their youth. You know, like me.
