#!markdown All shoe manufacturers need to take a page from the ski mountaineering book. Reverse the damn buckle with the strap off the side and buckle on top where it is far less likely to get bashed off. I went through four buckles on my last pair of Shimano shoes. They get flipped open even with a trimmed strap them boom off they go.
