If it is your backyard and you own the land go ahead and build whatever you
want, if you are not the landowner what right do you have to build whatever
you want, wherever you want? The sanctioned trails on the North Shore are
tolerated by the landowners. Secret, pirate, unsanctioned trail building runs
the risk of all mountain bikers being banned from the Shore! Think before you
dig, put your energy into improving, fixing or rehabilitating the existing
trails. DD.
