I'm not sure if the "shut their cake holes" comment was directed to me or not,
regardless I'll respond with my thoughts. My comment was in reference to the
ever-growing market of lightweight helmets that provide some level of jaw
protection. This is clearly different than the DH helmet market. My point, was
that for a similar price, you can have a helmet that is just a just as light
and possibly stronger as it passed the ASTM test. The MET Parachute is not a
DH helmet, but it's reassuring that it's as strong as one. Bell's excuse is
that their helmet couldn't pass the ASTM test because it was too vented…which
is hard to believe as the MET is, if not more, vented. No paranoia here, just
being wise with my money…
