Eliot Jackson has hidden superpowers. For this short film, he put down the mic, picked up his guitar and bike, and composed and played the original score. Then he showed us he’s a talent on the other pedals. Another mic-drop moment. Here’s Eliot’s Ode to LA: Since filming, Los Angeles County has been devastated by multiple fires. Hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated, some have died, and thousands of structures have been completely destroyed. Our hearts and help go out to those who have been impacted.

The Present | Full Award-Winning Documentary

The Present is a 2023 award-winning adventure documentary featuring the story of Dimitri Poffé, a 34-year-old French traveler who left his native France to undertake a cycling trip from Mexico City to Ushuaia after he tested positive for Huntington's disease. Huntington's disease is a rare neurodegenerative, hereditary, and incurable disease. Dimitri's father passed away because of Huntington's 20 years ago, and his sister has been developing the symptoms for the past 13 years. According to studies, Dimitri should develop the symptoms between 35 and 40 years old. On his adventure across South America, Dimitri visits researchers, associations, and people affected by the disease to raise awareness and share a message of hope.

Strolling through Berlin with Akwasi Owusu

Akwasi only recently started venturing outside the U.S. on skate trips after getting his passport in 2022. He’s checked off places like France and Japan with the Asics team, and as seen in the latest Atlantic Drift video, Austria and Hungary. We invited him over to spend a week in another bucket-list location of his – the city of Berlin. We showed him around over the course of a couple mostly rainy days, watched him create his own souvenirs using all the tools in his bag, and chatted about life, skateboarding, the arts, and where his travel budget will take him next.
