Underexposed - Walker County, GA

The very same mountains and ridges that were ravaged during the peak of the industrial fracas are now highly sought after for decidedly different pursuits. The City of Chattanooga has become a bit of an outdoorsy model citizen, having been bestowed a number of awards for outdoor recreation and featured in several print and online features within climbing, paddling, and mountain bike circles. While Walker County, Georgia might not garner the same level of name recognition just yet, there is a contingent of riders working hard to elevate the prominence of mountain biking in their area and shed the baggage of their community’s past.

Launch film for the Specialized Status 2 Featuring Remy Morton, Matt Begg, Christian Rigal, Blake Hansen, Chelsea Kimball, and Allan Cooke. We spent a week road-tripping the South Island of New Zealand to shoot the release film of Status 2. Thanks to the Specialized team & Allan Cooke for letting me run creatively on this one! 76-year-old 'Queen of the shore' finds community after 30 years

Betty Birrell has been mountain biking on Vancouver's North Shore since about 1993, when she says it was an anomaly to see another woman on the trails. She's still tackling some of the toughest terrain, but after years of mostly riding alone, Birrell has recently found community in women's riding groups.
