The Cowichan Nightmare: A race through the night
If racing over 200 km through the night on dark, cold, and eerie backroads sounds like your idea of fun, then The Cowichan Nightmare may be calling your name. For Carter Niewesteeg and 100 other cyclists, that proved to be the case as they gathered on the races start line—a two hour ferry ride headed for the middle of Vancouver Island, BC. The rules: once the ferry docks, the first rider to cross the island and make it to the next ferry station wins.

FIRE FERNS | William Robert flowing through the Fontainebleau ferns
After taking some time off to recover from a wrist injury earlier this year, William Robert has been on a steady march getting back to his old self. Carving crafty lines, coming up with creative video concepts, and cultivating stoke. For this one, William and filmer, Gregory Roux, took inspiration from a music video shot in the same location. They wanted to make a dark and cinematic edit that contrasts the dark fire-lit cave with the light and flowy nature of the ferns in the forest. To cap it all off, William had his bike custom painted by Wim Verbreyt to match the concept.
HIGH JINKS | A MOUNTAIN BIKE FILM BY JOSH LEWIS
High Jinks was created throughout the year of 2024, the mission was to keep pushing. Creativity has always given me a purpose, it’s an urge which comes from within. After lighting the fire of music creation, i subconsciously began to hear rhythm in all walks of life - the same way my brain see’s rideable lines in our landscapes, cities and surroundings. I feel an ever burning desire to showcase the constant learnings picked up along this journey, it’s this which motivates me to keep creating films - i want to put into practice the new stuff i have learnt, be it on the bike or in the studio. Building features to ride excites me, when it's with P the excitement is particularly amplified. We try to play with the capabilities of mountain bikes and our own capabilities whilst riding them. We start with an idea, the ideas get kicked around some, and we end up with something that's beautifully scary.
YETI | Remembrance Day: Mending Flies
This Remembrance Period, we’re shining a light on Heroes Mending On The Fly, an organization that aids in the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities involving education and outings. In July, a group of female veterans, led by retired Warrant Officer Sandie Walsh, set out on a four-day fishing trip in the wilderness of Quebec to learn how to fly fish while also rediscovering camaraderie and the healing nature of the wild.
Arc'teryx Presents: Darkhorse
In today’s era of outdoor adventure sports where social media followers, engagement, and ‘likes’ have shaped the industry, an important question remains unanswered: If a snowboarder rides a steep, exposed line in the Whistler backcountry and no one sees it or hears it, did it really happen? Joe Lax would put this age-old philosophical debate to rest— “Who cares”? A 44-year-old Pemberton local, Lax has created a life defined by snowboarding, family, and wildfire. Despite his accolades in the mountains, leaving his mark on the iconic lines of British Columbia that have defined an industry, you’ve likely never heard of him. And he’s happy to keep it that way.
