Weekend Warmup #215
DREAMLAND - Squamish β Nate Spitz
Join Nate Spitz as he engages in some insane free riding in Squamish, BC. With the amount of local talent that frequents these trails, Nate was determined to ride them in a way that no one else has before, adding that he always tries to add his own touch to what riders before him have built. The suicide-no-hanger to manual in the first minute of the film was an absolute banger for me, and the ride of the video features some tricky moves on some classic Squamish slabs.
Silent Biking BC's Backcountry - Mahalo My Dude
If ever there was a riding destination that doesn't need a soundtrack, it would be the Chilcotins.
Lorna Pass --> Mid Tyaughton Creek --> Spruce Lake Main --> High Trail --> Pearson Trail --> Camel Pass --> Molly Dog --> Ken's Trail.
*after a little hiatus, looks like Tyax Lodge got a new float plane capable of handling the demands of lake landings in the area. Nice!
DOLOMITES - Kilian Bron
Thanks to riders like Kade, Brage, and Gee, we've had the pleasure of releasing some spectacular big mountain free riding as late, especially with Anthill's new film 'ANYTIME'. Kilian Bron, who is no stranger to riding in zones like this, brings us his vision of riding somewhere that many though was impossible with this full length film. For him, the vastness of terrain in the Dolomites is truly a sight to behold. More than just a quick shreddit, but centered around discovering a new place, the human experience of spending time with his team, and the kind of riding that leaves zero margin for error.
HOMEGROWN - DAKOTAH NORTON | FIVE TEN
HOMEGROWN, with Dakotah Norton, explores the everyday life of one of America's promising downhill racing talents, who has had great success on the World Cup Dowhill Circuit this year. Join the team at FiveTen as they offer an insightful gaze into what it takes to compete at the highest level, nevertheless while building a life in Tennessee, continents away from the majority of the competition he faces in Europe each year.
ππππ | Ondra Slez

A New Beginning // Reimagining the Storied Freeride Trails of Black Rock, Oregon
The trails just outside of Falls City, Oregon, were once famous for their classic features and iconic freeride segments. However, after years of neglect, and nearly being removed following a loss of land access, the condition of these trails is far from what they once were. Matt Lund, founding member of Black Rock Mountain Bike Association has facilitated the restoration of the once precedent setting trail system 20 years after it was first made. 'A New Beginning' documents Cam McCaul and his close friends as they elad the charge to restore what was at one point amongst the world's most iconic trail networks.
From Vert Legend to Chopper Icon: Max Schaaf | Let It Kill You
Here at NSMB we seem to have an affinity for everything with two (or four wheels), despite being predominantly in the mountain bike game. Max Schaaf, who's been in the skateboard scene for the last 30 years, honed his skills on a vert ramp in a warehouse his mother was renting. After a remarkable skateboard career, Max developed a passion for chopper motorcycles. He quickly ascended the ranks in the copper scene, building one impressive bike after the next. Follow along for a dive into Max's transition from skateboarding to the opening of his chopper shop, 4Q Conditioning in Oakland, whereby he creats some of the world's most beautiful and renowned choppers.
Carson Storch & Carson Brown: Crossfire | MTB x MX
Mountain bike free rider Carson Storch & motocross athlete Carson Brown had the vision to achieve an epic ride, featuring both mountain bikes and dirt bikes riding on the same section of trail. Tune as to watch the duo push the limits of their respective sports while carving lines down the mountains along Oregon's rugged coast.
