Racing to Wandering: How Ruth Winder Learned to Love Riding Slow | Trek Bicycle

Road racing gave Ruth Winder structure. But years of constant travel and strict schedules wore her down, and at the end of the 2021 season she retired from the pro women's peloton. Now, at 29 years old, she is learning how to ride her bike for fun, while also competing in North American gravel and mountain bike races for herself as a member of Trek's Driftless program.

Visit with Winder in her home in Colorado, tag along as she rides within the stunning scenery just outside her front door, and learn what it's like to be a former hardcore racer adapting to a lowkey lifestyle.

‘No Schedule’ is a video concept that builds off the back of Tommy’s multiple Rampage experiences. The project sets out to answer a question: Away from the structure and time constraints of contest riding, what can a rider like Tommy do with the legendary Utah terrain? To find an answer to this, the project sees Tommy head out to the desert on a 3 week trip with good friends Louis Reboul, Eliott Lapotre and Paul Fisson. With videographer Christian Rigal capturing the madness.

With endless style, insane moves, experimental features and epic scenery, ‘No Schedule’ achieves all it set out to do.

What could beat a week-long session with your mates hanging out in the woods with bikes? That is precisely the aim of Fest Sessions Polska; to ride as much as possible on an insane course with four distinct lines. Poland greeted us with hospitality, great food, and a massive playground. It was refreshing to share the track with some of the most remarkable female riders on the planet! With Vero Sandler, CJ Selig, Vinny Armstrong, Gemma Corbera, Robin Goomes and Chelsea Kimball all making an effort to come out, we were more than stacked with talent and steez!
