Weekend Warmup #136

Into the Gnar - The Resurrection of One Gnarly Move | Yoann Barelli

I've looked at this feature on the side of the highway between Whistler and Pemberton since I moved to Canada in 2014, this beast was created by Kenny Smith and Kyle Norbaten in 2004.

At the end of last year I stood on top of it and imagined what it would take to rebuild it and how I would ride it. But it's only when you start to put on the work that everything starts to click. Thanks to my good buddies Jolan, Sergi, Matt and some of my Colorado friends we got this thing up and ready to roll last week.

I love sharing these gnarly lines with my buddy Steve, he is always the best guy to have around as we do things for the same reason which is pure love for this stuff and we have a pure blast doing it !!

Remy Metailler Attempts to Ride and Not Slide on Dead Dog... | Remy Metailler

If you're of a certain vintage, you may remember the notorious Dead Dog as the start of Psychosis, a race put on by Red Bull in Golden, BC. Dropping 158m over just 306m of run (which works out to an average slope of ~48 degrees). This thing is steep. Remy Metailler attempts to send it as part of his BC road trip, and things end up getting more than a bit loose...

Alma Wiggberg x Esperanto | Teton Gravity Research

Joining the growing army of female freeride mountain bikers, Alma Wiggberg burst on the scene in the last few years. At just 19, the young Swedish Specialized Bikes athlete is already pushing the limits of her sport at events like Crankworx, Audi Nines and the pro downhill and enduro racing scene. This spring, with too much snow at home, she joined her close friends Emil Johansson and Lukas Skiöld on a trip to Spain’s La Fenasosa Bike Park. There, they linked up with Nico Vink to create one of the wildest slopestyle courses ever captured on film.

'Let Your Hellion Run Wild' with Rae Morrison | Ride Concepts

Before the race season’s rigors of travel and the pressure of her 7th Enduro World Series Season, Rae Morrison did what she loves most: laid back off-season laps on her local trails in Nelson, New Zealand. She left the race clips at home and threw on the Hellion flat to session sections of trail and get a little rowdy. This is what we love about Rae. When the pressure’s off, she’ll change things up and let her inner hellion run wild.
