Rob Warner and Finn Iles take the gondola to incredible heights – 4,000m above sea level to be exact. With a vast network of mountains and volcanoes, Ecuador is home to magnificent landscapes and some authentic, gnarly mountain bike trails but will the pair be able to survive the exceptionally high altitude?
Rob Warner travelled the globe racing the Mountain Bike World Cup but never got to experience the local cultures and people during his travels. That's all changing now with Rob Warner's Wild Rides series.

There's a full 24 minute episode on red bull tv and it (and the whole series) is really good!

I'm going to have to check out the other ones. Interesting to see an adventure at altitude get scuppered. Was just at VIMFF a little over a week ago and they screened the Danny MacAskill and Hans Rey trip to summit Kilimanjaro and Mt Kenya and Danny suffered from altitude sickness as well. It's refreshing to see these athletes (well, Warner would probably agree he's a 'former' athlete) let their vulnerabilities show.

rad series. we were in quito last year & took the teleferico up to the area where rob got sick. some neat looking trails in there. we were just hiking, alas (at a decidedly mellow pace), but the effects of that kind of elevation (esp after coming from sea level the previous day) are no joke.
