Spot Bikes Announce the New Mayhem 130 and Mayhem 150
Colorado-based Spot Bikes has two new bikes going live this week, with the Mayhem 130 and Mayhem 150 coming out from behind the cover. Pitched as true "all mountain" bikes, the Mayhems feature Spot's unique "Living Link" suspension design. Read on after the break for more info.
Offering riders the opportunity to “Cover More Ground,” Spot is launching two new Mayhem mountain bikes featuring the brand’s patented Living LinkTM suspension platform and award-winning ride quality, plus a lifetime frame warranty on all bikes purchased after Jan. 1, 2020.
“All mountain bikers want to go farther, explore more and cover more ground, but they are often held back by gravity-specific bikes that climb poorly and don’t prioritize overall efficiency,” says Spot CEO Andrew Lumpkin. “The new Mayhems take traction and silky power delivery to the next level, all while providing more late-stroke ramp that helps riders rip more climbs, bag more descents and cause more Mayhem.”
Spot tuned the design of its Living Link™ suspension system, which has won accolades from the media and customers alike, to create two Mayhem models that offer greatly improved small-bump compliance, better traction, and more late-stroke progression for aggressive descending.
The bikes’ full-carbon frames feature a force-response design, and a long, low and slack geometry and steep seat tube that centers riders in the most athletic position for aggressive descending and efficient climbing. Both Mayhems also have a Geometry Adjuster that slackens the head tube and lowers the bottom bracket with one tool in less than 30 seconds, as well as Groovy Guides for streamlined brake hose access.
