Ryan Howard Goes Ballistic
You might be surprised to know that the rider who has become synonymous with stylish whips made his first-ever trip to Whistler to play hockey. That’s right, recent winner of the Oceana Whip-Off Championships at Crankworx Rotorua, Ryan Howard, wasn’t always the master of two wheels we now know as “R-Dog.” Lucky for us, though, R-Dog found mountain bikes, the Aptos Post Office jumps (RIP) and the incredible trails of Santa Cruz County, California. Just try to be uninspired by this edit of R-Dog shredding a bit of his home loam.
This is what I ride like in my brain.

one of the best vids of the year… could give Soderstrom a run for best style.

that was a treat. i've been confused by the exposure howard has been getting; he just seemed like a quiet dirt jumper with a limited bag of tricks. looks like the guy's got skill and style and pace
