Red Bull Joyride - Recap and Final Results

Brandon Semenuk was the man to beat at the 2017 edition of Red Bull Joyride. Having put together 4 wins in a row from 2011-2015, there was no shortage of competition for the top spot on the podium. Ultimately Semenuk prevailed giving him win number 5, but it was two other riders that made surprise splashes.

First up is the successful crossover of BMX veteran Ryan Nyquist, who tacked his way into third place against a stacked field. But the real breakout was Diego Caverzasi landing in 5th place out of seemingly nowhere. Caverzasi will be one to watch in future comps for sure.

Also of note was Semenuk's crowning of Swede Emil Johansson as "the future of the sport." Impressive accolades indeed for the young rider.
