Raccoons Borrowed My Bike Volume 8
Last week I barely rode my bike. Instead I painted. I painted another big batch of animal comics for the next few weeks, and I also painted some really big (bigger than real life) raccoons on plywood panels. You can see one of them in the header, and, if you find yourself at Whistler Bike Park's opening weekend, you might just see it in the wild.
For now though, here are a few more creatures I've met recently!

Goat, that's not a Manitou, I think your fork is on backwards!

This is an ongoing joke in my riding group. Too often when someone recommends a "sick new trail" it actually involves walking through the woods with bikes while one of us enthusiastically talks about how rad this trail is going to be once they do just a little more work. Until then though, it's just a pile of sticks.

This might just be a semi-local phenomenon, but every new trail seems to have a "clever" name. How many pun trails can you think of off the top of your head?

Did you really ride a trail if you don't spray about it?

Fun fact: none of my crashes have ever been my fault. It's aways the bike, or the conditions, or the trail builder's fault, because I am but a blameless victim of my circumstances.
We're well past the halfway point! I've got a couple dozen more critters to paint, but then the book, and related accessories will be ready for public consumption, and my NSMB comics will diversify. Until then, I hope your bike is running smoothly and your trails are tacky!

The turtles of the world should pick up a shovel instead of their GoPro... we would be much better off.

Fox is a cult classic in my friend group, complete with his own memes. I was a little worried that this one would be too specific, so I'm very glad other folks have their own foxes too!
