Raccoons Borrowed My Bike Volume 5
It's a new week, the sun is shining, and we've got another dose of woodland creatures dealing with mountain biker problems! I spent the weekend camping at Logan Lake, watching snow fall on our "spring bike trip" and listening to Loons warble over the lake. So look out for some particularly unhinged creatures inspired by this trip in the coming weeks.

Most of these things are on my desk in real life. All of them are there in my imagination though.

The point of DH bikes is riding the ever living crap out of them and deferring maintenance until it's almost too late.

"No dig, no ride" doesn't quite work in most situations, but I'm a huge fan of "No dig, no whine." If you don't want to be part of the solution, why are you complaining so much about the problem?

True story: the closest I've been to a physical altercation with another cyclist was when a guy in a Tesla with two e-bikes on the back cut us off and tried to talk shit as we rode home from the trails.

I've been Dog too many times, including this weekend. Sometimes it's tricky to figure out which one is the climb trail until you're pedaling up something that's very clearly a landing. Also, if anyone knows the story behind the "walk gently" sharpied onto the trail signs on Galbraith, I'd love to hear it!
Dry roots, perfect dirt, and enough light for big rides after work. I love this time of year! I hope you're getting out on your bikes and enjoying the spring. Here's the rest of the series so far:
I'm getting closer to wrapping up all 60 paintings in this series. Once I do, I'll bring a more varied palette of comics to NSMB. I'll also have some sort of party with all the original paintings for sale cheap. I'll post details about that once I have them! Until then, get out there and ride some bikes, but don't forget to stop and watch the critters in the undergrowth!

Any chance that this would somehow become like a book or a collection on a poster, like 4 pictures to a poster sized form?

Yep! The end goal is a book and a coloring book. I just need to get my act together and paint, but the weather has been too good for riding bikes!

That's awesome, I'll be looking forward for any of those projects 😀
As for riding, our trails in pg still have ice on them, so I'm stuck on the trainer for now.
