Raccoons Borrowed My Bike: The Final Volume (#12)

This is it folks! The final edition of this particular comic! Thanks for bearing with me over twelve weeks, and sixty little paintings. It's been a fun trip. So here are the last five characters, followed by some info on what to look for going forward, the book, and more.

A hedgehog with a big truck

Don't overthink it Hedgehog!

A bobcat scared of a move

I've got a few very simple moves that still hang me up thanks to past mistakes.

A goose with a camera

Some days I am Goose, sometimes I am Goose's friends.

A mushroom in the woods

Fungus does not care about your axle spacing.

A raccoon painting

Thank you all for letting me do this with my life.

While that's the end of this series, I'll have more comics on NSMB soon, after a two week hiatus where I'm going to recharge creatively and ride my bike a bunch.

In the meantime, you can download all of the coloring pages for these here for free.

Last week I ordered the first run of a compilation book of all these comics. It's hardcover, and 60 pages long. The book itself is 8"x8" and each comic is printed at 7"x7". If you want to preorder a copy, you can do that here. I should have books and stickers in hand and ready to mail out by June 23.

I'm also figuring out some sort of art party where I'll sell all the original paintings, give away stickers, and maybe go for a group ride. That's still pretty up in the air right now though, so I'll post more details when I have them.

Finally, here's an open invitation: When I started this raccoon project in January I resolved to put the next six months of my artistic output into it. Those six months are up. The book is done. Which leaves me looking for another illustration project to finish out the year. I want to make something big. Something that involves a little bit of travel. Maybe something that I can wrangle some sponsors for. Something that involves comics and stand-alone art pieces. I don't know what that is yet. But if you have ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Hold on. Is Hedgehogs “big truck” a Subaru Brat?

Thanks for the comics. Some I identify with some I don’t get, but much like fungus I don’t care about your axle spac

Exactly. We like to joke that our Baja is a big truck, so I figured it needed a shoutout.

My wife is fungus. She doesn’t care about my bikes. She does not care had I am forming my children into my vision of wilderness lovers. She’s lovely though. Just like a good mushroom.

Thanks Cy, this has been a great series, looking forward to being able to buy the colouring book.

How about international shipping? I tried to preorder, but the site claims shipping is unavailable to my location.

Unfortunately international shipping is pretty challenging. It ends up being significantly more expensive than the book itself. I'll put the full print files on gumroad in a couple weeks though, so folks can print any that they like in their country of choice. Sorry!

Goose.

Also works for awkward corners but there's a nice tree.

"I promise that popping off this weird little root that you would normally never air, that's right after a techy climb, and into a terrible corner will totally pay off"

Great run! Enjoyed these so much. Of all the characters, fungus would be the least unfortunate one to eat.

Or the most unfortunate, because once you decided to eat it, it would be experiencing being eaten and not eaten simultaneously for all of eternity. Or perhaps the mere possibility that at one point you might make that decision, it's already experiencing it, in which case - go nuts.
