NSMBA News Roundup - June 2025
Introducing Cynthia Young as the NSMBA’s Executive Director:
We are thrilled to officially welcome Cynthia Young as the new Executive Director of the North Shore Mountain Bike Association. Cynthia will step into her role on June 2, 2025, bringing a deep understanding of our organization’s history, mission, and community.
Cynthia is no stranger to NSMBA. Having served as a Board Member, Programs & Sponsorship Manager, and dedicated trail builder, she has long been an integral part of our story. As an active and longtime user of the North Shore trails, her passion for stewardship and sustainable trail development runs deep. With her leadership, vision, and heart, we are excited to embark on this next chapter together.

Holding an MBA from UBC Sauder School of Business and backed by a career spanning community building, DEI strategy, nonprofit leadership, and brand development, Cynthia is uniquely equipped to guide our organization with both strategic clarity and empathetic leadership. Her collaborative approach, commitment to inclusion, and strong relationship-building skills make her a natural fit to lead the NSMBA forward.
As Executive Director, Cynthia will be the primary point of contact for organizational direction, operations, and community engagement. She is eager to connect with our members to hear your ideas, and explore how we can build something even greater, together.
Please join us in welcoming Cynthia to her new role. We look forward to the road ahead with her leadership and remain deeply grateful for the contributions of each member of the NSMBA community.
Sincerely,
