North Shore MTB Series – Race Recap
The first year of the North Shore MTB Series (formerly the North Shore Ripper) was a hit! With over 180 riders for the weekend covering all events from XC to Enduro to Super D riders, with a sweet beer garden at the finish line as part of the MEC Bikefest North Shore. Riders were just stoked to be out there riding on the Shore trails while getting in a little competition amongst buddies.
Timing seemed to be a challenge on Saturday but after learning the ins and outs to the what was a new system used for the race, showed quick progression to having Sunday’s Super D dialed with results up online within 15mins of the race finish!
Race director Megan Rose looks forward to growing this event in the coming years and making the weekend a must do for the North Shore riding community. Thanks to the amazing sponsors of MEC North Vancouver, John Henry Bikes and Norco.
