New at Crankworx: 2014 Giro Cipher Helmet
Cruising the pits at Crankworx today we ran into Kurt Sorge just as he had received a fresh downhill helmet from Giro. The Cipher looks to be the replacement for the long-tenured Remedy full face, with a number of updates that should fire some synapses.
The new Giro Cipher full face looks to be set to take the place of the Remedy. This is Sorge’s composite version, with a carbon one on the way.
The Cipher’s nose piece has been smoothed out and brought back a touch closer to the face. The goggle opening has been enlarged as well.
Ventilation has improved with big vents up front. The visor is only attached at the sides, and has a camera mount – and hopefully light mount in the future?
Pads can be removed while the helmet is still on your head.
The black mesh has a pocket for earphones.
Only the flattest of flat black for Sorge.
