9 years we’ve waited for this moment… Kelly Slater and our team Kelly Slater Wave Company built the longest, open-barrel man made wave in the world! Through science and innovative technology and the sheer grit of everyone who put their heart and soul into this, we have been successful in producing a world-class, high performance wave. We are super proud of the team and very excited about the possibilities this technology might unlock. It’s only the beginning and we look forward to sharing more information about our activities and plans with all of you in the near future.

Wow! I've seen Kirra get pretty close to perfection numerous times several years ago, and while it packed more intensity that this artificial wave seems to, that is some inch perfect peeling off. I suspect designing in a little variation might actually improve it, but that is closer to my dream of perfection than anything I've seen in the flesh or on film.
