Highlights from Mont-Ste-Anne DH World Cup 2017
After dry conditions throughout practice and qualifying, the rain arrived on race day in Mt Ste Anne. Rain peppered the racing for the women and first two-thirds of the men's field, but it really came down for the last 25 men, handing a heavy disadvantage to the fastest qualifiers.
Nevertheless, Aaron Gwin took advantage of another opportunity to remind everyone of his incredible talent, while Danny Hart and Loic Bruni put in valiant efforts and overcame the conditions to gain podium spots and valuable points on series leader Greg Minnaar. The final race of the year in Val di Sole should be incredibly exciting.
Full highlights of the men's and women's finals are below, but here's a link to the men's and women's full races, in case you missed all the action on Saturday and want to relive Rachel Atherton's incredible recovery from near disaster and the wet and wild men's race. They're both worth a watch if you haven't seen them yet.
Watch this one to the very end - Aaron Gwin shares his thoughts and the experience of his race run and it's pretty dramatic and interesting to hear what he has to say.
