Jordan I think everyone here understands that when you say an athlete makes something look "effortless" it's a complement and speaks to an expert's ability to make the extraordinary look ordinary.

I really hope that you were fishing for comments by including that quad backflip in "The Effortless Style Guide". It belittles Jed's work to label his accomplishment 'effortless' and insults your audience's appreciation of bike riding aesthetics to describe it as stylish. Anyone that's been around for more than a minute knows that it was about as steezy as a Bender cliff huck.

To be clear, I never meant to diminish Jed's achievement of being the first person to complete a quad backflip. Having been around the block a few times, I know how much goes into pulling something like that, and the end result (4 perfect rotations and rolling away smoothly) while certainly not "effortless" in the beginning certainly looks like it to someone who doesn't know the backstory.

Ridiculous feat, but I still can't get down with how these guys blow pedals and claim it.
