The Cowboy Trail south of Calgary and on through Crowsnest Pass to Fernie is a trip Stephane Pelletier, 2012 NSMB AIRprentice finalist, makes with his friends almost every weekend. These boys have learned to love the Fernie Municipal Jump Park, and have found their own niche in Fernie’s endless riding potential. Riding with locals like Paul Genovese, Stephane and his roadtripping accomplices fire out an exciting session at the Jump Park, at what’s just another weekend for these boys.

I’ve known Stephane my entire life as our families grew up as friends. When I encouraged him to come out to this year’s AIRprentice competition, he came out and impressed the judges so much on his Demo 8, that he placed in our final 4 without even showcasing any of his dirt jump skills. Stephane has typically always been a dirtjumper and this was actually his first full season owning a downhill bike. His natural skill on a bike combined with his determination to progress has created one talented rider.

Featured in this video are some of my good shop and riding friends from back home. Luc Wilson is the videographer and one of the riders, and Shayne Saskoley is the cameraman capturing the shots from all other angles. Great riding from Scott Thomson, Stephane Pelletier, Luc Wilson, and Paul Genovese.

Stephane is definitely still on the upward slope of his career… hopefully we’ll see him back at AIRprentice in 2013…
