Get Serious About The Shore
It sounds kind of lofty and academic – a panel discussion about the riding on the North Shore – but it won’t be all high falootin’. We’ve lined up a stellar panel of North Shore veterans to talk about the state of the Shore this Saturday, July 18th at 4:00 pm. Come early, grab a beer and watch some young guns hit up the wall ride before things get under way.
The ‘official’ topic of the discussion is ‘The Progression of Mountain Bike Trailbuilding
and Issues of Ecology and Access.’ We’ll be talking about the origins of mountain biking on the North Shore, where we stand and how we should move forward while keeping trails sustainable, fun and interesting. For more info click here…
Presentation House is at 333 Chesterfield in North Van – just four blocks up from the Seabus on 3rd St. and Chesterfield. On top of the panel you’ll see a gallery full of Sterling Lorence images, an installation of Shore structures and some remnants of Dangerous Dan’s Cypress trails that were destroyed in 1999. Have a look below for some views ot the gallery.
If you’d like to suggest some questions for the panel, or some issues you’d like tackled, let us know here…
