Sea Otter Visuals

Here’s the downlow of our trip to Sea Otter in photos.

We woke up early on Wednesday morning and picked up the boys. After i finished snoozing i decied to take a few snaps crusing down the I5.

The I5 Scenery
 Mount Shasta looking epic.

California SunshineAfter close to 18 hours of driving we rolled into Montery. It was late, we hit the sack asap.

Qualifying

Thursday morning I woke up early, got my gear on and headed up the hill for my slalom practice/qualifying. I ended up qualifying 4th in expert, so I was stoked.

College Cyclery Compund

Afterwards I headed back to the college cyclery compound in the pits. Kyle J and Spangler built the sickest pump track in the ride zone. I loved it and so did every other person around. There was never a moment all week where there wasnt 5-10 kids pumping laps. Big thanks to Terry and Alison Cox of college cyclery for being so rad and letting us stay with them!!

The PT

Sea otter is great because you get to see all the new product rite at the begining of the season, also you get to see all the pros’ new bikes. We definitely were drooling over Brandon Semenuk’s down hill bike.
Light weight downhill machine.

And the new Race Face Atlas AM and Freeride line.

The next day was race day for me. I warmed up and began doing our first heats. I won my first 2 heats with ease but #3 was a different story.

Race DayMuch like Curtis did I blew a turn and got way too drifty. I was on the ground instantly. So that was it for dual for me. I got bumped out but ended up finishing in 6th place which I was happy with.

Just after the wash out.

Friday morning. Pro qualifyers. Misty Morning

I hung around with my camera for a little while during the pro qualifyers, but I split not too long after the fog cleared. I got a couple of cool shots that i want to share.

Hike a bike. Vories.

Saturday. Dual Stunt was a realy cool event to watch. Strait was the defending champ this year and he was brining the heat.

The final 2
The final round was between Semenuk and Strait. Who do you think won? The one that wins everything.

Winning in the black lane..

Winning in the red lane.

Sunday – Down Hill

I busted out the helmet cam on sunday. I wanted to capture how bumpy the course was. I think this race run with Kyle Jameson does justice to the bumps. Check out the new boxxer just getting pounded.

On Monday morning we packed all our gear into the team Toyota Tacoma and headed north. I had an awesome trip and I cant wait for next year.
