Mitch Chubey Update
The AIRprentice is slaying it on Drop In
Living with a bunch of stinky mountain bikers isn't a solid proposition.
Put them on a delapidated Calgary city bus and you are asking for trouble.
Remarkably everything seems to be going extremely well for Mitch Chubey, our
AIRprentice winner for 2007, and the rest of the Drop In crew. Dylan Tremblay
and Jamie Goldman are on injured reserve but other riders have filled their
spots for now.
Not only is Mitch fitting in with the other smelly dirtbags, he's adding some
hefty tricks to his bag. Before leaving Whistler Mitch was tossing it
into the foam pit when Romo offhandedly told him to try a flip whip. He
hadn't even landed a straight flip to dirt at that point. Not one to back away
from a challenge Mitch stepped up and came pretty close first time out.
Soon he was landing them to pedals under the foam dome. There isn't any
foam on the Drop In agenda so it was time to step it up.
First this happened on mulch.
And it was time to try it on dirt.
Mike
Reid's sick shot of Mitch's first flip whip to dirt. He nailed it
on his first attempt.
