Remembering Dave Mirra

Dave Mirra was a BMX pioneer, X-Games medal hauler, and athlete of diverse ability who progressed from 20″ wheels into the worlds of Rallycross and Ironman. He will always be remembered as one of the best vert and ramp BMX athletes to rumble over the boards, but it’s possible that his greatest impact will be the light his death has cast on the impact of concussion-related injuries and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) on action sports athletes.
