It was one for the ages in Finale, with Anne Caroline Chausson racing her last enduro and Martin Maes winning his first round.

Martin has waited a long time for his first win.

Casey Brown had a great first day with two top fives and an 8th place finish. Day 2 wasn’t quite as solid but she still managed a solid 6th overall.

Day 1 must have been better for B.C. skills because Miranda Miller crushed it with 4th, 4th and 3rd places finishes. After day 2 she had to settle for 5th overall.

Cecile Ravanel was easily the most dominant figure on the EWS circuit in 2016 winning a total of 33 stages. Richie Rude managed 21 wins on the men’s side. There were 50 stages total this year.

Richie Rude played it cool to keep the overall solidly in his grasp. For Richie a safe ride still means winning a stage and coming in 2nd for the round by less than 18 seconds.
