Shana-na-na!
Well another season come and gone - at least for this B.C. boy. One day I was out building beautiful trail for a second season at Baldface Lodge and the next day I was shovelling snow just so I could see what I was digging.

But there is no way a big dump of snow could stop a group of Nelson boys from riding a fresh new trail. I forget how much fun riding in the snow is.

2005 was a great season for myself. The paint scratches and worn-out brake pads that my bike has left behind is a good sign that the two of us spent some quality time together.
I think it's funny how such a well-made piece of equipment that has had so much time and energy spent into its designing and manufacturing only to have someone, like myself, come along and just beat the crap out of it.
But the abuse is only a layer of paint deep. I have a line of bikes in my basement that is five strong. Yet my Ollie was the only one I used. |

The fact that it is only scratched (quite a
bit) I
guess shows that these bikes were made to take whatever I (and many others for that matter) can dish out.

So ... there is no question whether or not I will be signing another year with Devinci.
Their frames are Canadian-designed and built from scratch. I finally decided to take a look at the whole frame building process on the Web site. It's a pretty sweet process - you should check it out.
It's only been one season for me with this company, but I am so very stoked to see what this year's bikes will be able to handle.

And I'll be happy to spend another year with this large group of cycling enthusiasts, who just happen to run the best bicycle manufacturing company.
I might even do my high school teachers proud and finally learn the language in which I only passed, so the teachers wouldn't have to spend another year banging their heads against a wall while I try to say bonjour ... or is it salut?
Hope you all enjoy the photos and I'll see you out there!
Vive la Devinci!
