Cove
Bikercross
It's on - this Wednesday
and every Wednesday all summer.

NORTH VANCOUVER — The gates dropped last week with Tyson Mcrea of Iron Horse
Bikes sealing a season opener win at Cove Bikercross 2005.
After a long hiatus it's on. Cove Bikes along with FOX
RACING SHOX present Cove Bikercross 2005 at Grouse Mountain.
With exclusive access to the World Cup track, the series, starting May 18,
runs every Wednesday for the duration of the summer.
“The bikercross series is going to be an excellent way to tap into all the
young guns we have in the area and it’s a sweet opportunity for them to
really dial their 4X skills,” says Gabe Fox, Marketing Manager, Cove Bikes.
Providing coaching and racing in the heart of the North Shore — an area
synonymous with world-renowned riders and terrain – is the objective, he
adds.

Bikercross is part of an established track racing history on the Shore. Races
cater to all levels where kids and adults can learn to jump and ride
in a safe and secure environment. "We are trying to establish a non-competitive
atmosphere where community spirit and fun take precedence,” says Gary
Jackson of Cycling B.C.
Learn-to-race clinics featuring some of the fastest names in the business
will be held for registered riders Tuesday evenings, as well.
"Cove Bikercross is going to be a great place for all North Shore riders
to come out and hone their skills with some of the best local riders around,”
says Thomas Vanderham, Rocky Mountain Bikes/Fox Racing.
Gates drop again this Wednesday and for the next 20 weeks with a 50 rider limit
this week to minimize the impact on the fresh track due the recent rainy weather.
