Carson Storch signs with Rocky Mountain

Carson Storch, newest member of the Rocky Mountain freeride program. That Maiden is already looking cozy in his bed. And is that a ‘fro he’s hiding under that hat?

There are signings and then there are signings. Carson Storch, freeride up-and-comer, recent inductee into the Red Bull family (although not yet officially listed on Red Bull’s site), Rampage hopeful until injury sidelined his chances this year (have you watched Digging Rampage yet?) and newest member of the Rocky Mountain freeride program, is deserving of italics. Not because of his accomplishments or riding (both are impressive) but because this is the first new name added to the RMB Freeride Program (née Froriders) since Thomas Vanderham returned after a two-year hiatus from Rocky when he dabbled in Evil a little, then fought off the dark side and returned to fight for the Rebel Alli- shit, wrong reference.

Anyway, Rocky’s freeride roster is the most well-known, and has any brand been more closely associated with freeride from its inception until now? For Carson to be their next addition says a lot about their hopes for his future. And to be able to call Simmons, Tippie, Gully and Vanderham teammates…well that may be Storch’s greatest accomplishment yet. Big things we see in his future.

Release from Rocky under the vid.

We are proud to sign Carson Storch to our freeride program. The two-year deal will see Carson compete at a full schedule of slopestyle and freeride events across the globe. He will also be involved in several high profile film projects.

He looks at home on the shore, but Storch is the only Rocky Mountain freerider that doesn’t call North Vancouver home.

Carson is unique because he rides at such a high level in both slopestyle and big mountain—and he tears it up on trail bikes too. He’ll be a great ambassador for our brand.

“Rocky Mountain has always represented freeride, and is a company that I am proud to ride for,” said Carson. “The bikes are awesome, the team is awesome, and they have been very welcoming. I’m happy to start a new chapter in my career with them.”

Carson had the opportunity to work with our engineering team to build a custom slopestyle bike in our North Vancouver prototype lab. He will ride a carbon Maiden for the Red Bull Rampage and other big mountain events, as well as a carbon Altitude for trail riding.

We have a deep history in freeride, sponsoring the first freeride team back in 1995. Carson joins Rocky Mountain alumni Wade Simmons, Thomas Vanderham, Geoff Gulevich, and Brett Tippie.

Cheers bud, welcome to the team!
