SRAM Retail Store at Crankworx

SRAM’s commitment to Kokanee Crankworx and World Bicycle Relief (WBR) are combining this week at the SRAM MTB Experience retail space. Since it’s founding in 2005, World Bicycle Relief has dedicated their energy to providing access to independence and livelihood through the power of bicycles. All proceeds from the sales will go directly into funding World Bicycle Relief’s mission of getting bicycles into the communities that need them most.

Traditionally at Crankworx, SRAM’s race truck has been the center of attention for all events, media launches as well as operating as a home base for our athletes. With the SRAM MTB Experience store just 200 feet away, we are able to stretch out and expand with more activities and comfort for our riders. Since the doors opened, we’ve had everything from Sam Hill’s fresh Specialized Demo team replica rig to Steve Smith’s mud splattered Devinci that he won the Canadian Open DH on. SRAM also partnered with Red Bull, Monster and Troy Lee Designs to create a locker room for Brandon Semenuk and Cam Zink. Both riders custom decorated their spaces with their gear, bikes, and stickers. Throughout the week SRAM will host athlete autograph signings with their top Crankworx DH and slopestyle riders.

Picking up one of these T-shirts at the SRAM MTB Experience store isn’t the only way to contribute to WBR. We are also hosting a silent auction of gallery quality mountain bike images shot by Adrian Marcoux. Many of these images were used for this years SRAM MTB and TRUVATIV ad campaigns. The auction will be open for bids through Sunday, July 24. Minimum bids will start around $125.

Those familiar with the RockShox Totem fork know that we commission new artists every year to design a set of stickers. Geoff McFetridge is this year’s current artist and in celebration of the project we asked Geoff to use an actual RockShox Totem for his canvas and paint his iconic characters all over the legs and crown of the fork. A ten dollar raffle ticket or spending 30 dollars at the SRAM MTB store gets you a chance to win this one of a kind piece of RockShox history.

Doors open from 10-5 everyday and will showcase unique SRAM, RockShox, Avid and TRUVATIV designed t-shirts, hats and hoodies in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes. Kokenee Crankworx always makes for a legendary weekend. If you are lucky enough to be in the Whistler Village be sure to swing by for some good times for a great cause. The store is located behind the world famous Zog’s food stand.
