High Terrain Helicopters is Nelson, BC’s mainstay helicopter company serving the area for over 15 years. 

Nelson’s increasing number of high elevation descents close to town have been attracting more and more mountain bikers to the idea of using a helicopter to get to the top.

Two of the most Heli-Friendly rides are the ‘Burn and Beyond,’ and ‘Powerslave.’ Riders have been accessing the ‘Burn’ by helicopter for years, and ‘Powerslave’ is going to be 100% heli access ready summer 2010.

Although High Terrain does not currently have a commercial recreation tenure license to transport and guide riders on Nelson’s heli drop trails, operating as a taxi service is 100% legit! We can fly you up, make sure you know where you are going, and keep in contact with you by cell phone during your descent. We can also help with arranging your vehicles so that you have one waiting at the bottom of the trail.
