Wade Wants to Know

Reading through all the stories got me thinking that we are truly lucky to have such a variety of terrain to ride. Shuttling, Bike Parks, all mountain epics, desert XC shredding, we as mountain bikers have access to all. That got me thinking. Last year and now even this year, given the mild winter, I seem to be riding new trails everywhere. On road trips previous, there doesn’t seem to be any lack, or shortage of trails to ride.

Is trail access better than it’s ever been? Wade wants to know.  Here he is getting full access in Italy. Photo ~ Markus Greber

Even the “God forbid” poaches of some certain Provincial Parks that I definitely don’t partake in seem to be abundant. Are we living in a mountain bike Mecca? I don’t mean here specifically, but in terms of time. Does the trail access issue seem to be cooling off? And I’m wondering if it’s because of the work of advocacy groups, and the fact that the general population is just becoming comfortable, more understanding towards mountain bikers. People are slow to change..what’s your view?

There just might be another prize for this one.  Tell us about the trail situation where you are, whether it’s gotten better or worse and why. You can either send Wade an email about this or respond in this thread…
