Looking for a Bike?

Despite a pretty healthy scene here in B.C., 2009 was a rough year in the bike industry.  As a result many companies have some bikes to carry over from 2009.  Norco has a page set up on their site outlining the deals.  They are so good I thought we should pass them along.

The Norco A Line Park Edition was $4710.  Now you can score one for $3499.

According to Pete Stace-Smith at Norco, “Shimano, SRAM, RockShox, Fox etc. components are all pretty much the same between 2009 and 2010, so if a buyer is interested, NOW is the time to pick up a wicked bike at a smoking discounted price.”

The Norco Shore One – with Hammerschmidt – was $5275.  Thanks to the sub-prime fiasco you can steal one for $4299 at your local Norco dealer.

“In reality, with exchange rates the way they are now and have been through the spec’ing calendar cycle, the 2010 bike spec is equal or has even gone down for the same “old retail” price compared head to head with a 2009 bike – so a consumer quite possibly might be getting a better spec’d bike by choosing an ’09 rather than a new 2010.  THEN add in the fact that this same bike might be marked down an additional  $500 to $1000!”

Keep a G-note in your pocket when you pick up a 2009 Shore Two.  Now $2699.

A total of 13 bikes have had their msrp slashed.  Maybe someone could let Santa know?

Good deals?  Anyone riding one of these bikes who would like to advise prospective buyers?  Advise away…
