Steve Peat!

It may not have been a worthy track but I’ll bet you a Stella Steve Peat doesn’t care. After finishing second at the World Championships four times downhill’s elder statesman has done it. Spurred on by the enthusiastic Aussie crowd, Steve Peat laid down a faultless run besting Greg Minnaar by a mere 5 on hundredths of a second.

It was a great day for Canadians as well with Steve Smith riding to a solid tenth place and Jamie Biluk surprising many with a 30th place finish against the best of the best.
