My beautiful demo 8

I’ve been down and out lately with shoulder rehab and the flu. Lucky enough I was able to build up a fresh beauty to to ride for the season! Ano blue Specialized Demo 8, wrapped with Fox suspension, Syncros components, Avid and Sram product, crankin with Race Face Atlas FR cranks, and stickin around with Maxxis rubber.
I was lucky enough to have Gary Jackson at Off The Edge let me take over a stand at his shop to build this thing up! Check it out.

 The bare bones.

 A rare black Fox 40.

The big and beautiful Fox 40, always making things easy.

The Syncros FR stem with the new “Grunge” look! Solid and stealthy.

Syncros FR seat post and AM seat, which I find to be one of the nicest seats I’ve ridden. Very durable and VERY comfy!

The hottest cranks on the market. Race Face Atlas FR in anodized gun metal grey. These beauties also have a few trails etched on the crank arm from Mount Fromme!

You can NEVER go wrong with any Maxxis tire! Minnon DHF 3C is my choice!

I think these Avid Elixirs were made for me! CR=Curtis Robinson….maybe? maybe not! but I sure do love the feel of these brakes and how they perform!

Hands Down the best shifting in the business comes from The Sram X-0 line! I am just stoked I never have to worry about shifting problems when I’m out on the trail. I thought Id add the red cable end to match my brakes! ha!

Out in front of Off The Edge Bike Shop in Sechelt, B.C. on the Sunshine Coast.

Just like Sam Hill’s frame – in geometry at least.

There you have it! I am stoked and very excited to hop on this bad sally and light up some trails! Thanks to nsmb.com and everyone listed above for making this beautiful gem possible. See ya on the trails.

Curtis

What do you think of Curtis’ new Demo 8?  It’s got the same geo. as Sam Hill’s bike and the 1.5″ headtube as well.  Curtis will be back in the saddle soon once the shoulder he injured at Sea Otter is healed up.  Watch for him at the Chatel Mountain Style comp in July.

Let us know what you think, or ask Curtis any questions you have, here…
